Radiant Cut Table Percentage:

The table is the large flat facet on the crown or top of a diamond. The table directly affects scintillation, or sparkle in a diamond. The combination of table size and crown angle governs the balance between brilliance, flashes of white light returning to the eye from within the diamond, and dispersion, seen by the eye as the play of spectral colors created by refracted light as prisms through a diamond's facets.

GIA has not established ideal table measurement percentages for radiant cut diamonds, but radiant cut diamonds with table percentages that measure between 65% and 80% are preferred. Table percentages under 75% are even more rare and can provide even greater brilliance and beauty. Table measurements that are within these ranges are considered by Gemologists to have very fine table proportions. Generally it is common for radiant cut diamonds to often have large tables above 80%. Choosing the proper size table for your radiant cut diamond will help ensure a brilliant and beautiful diamond.

The brilliance of your diamond depends on proper cutting. Certified-Plus Diamonds selects only ideal to premium cut diamonds to ensure the diamond you choose will be as brilliant as it is beautiful. A diamond with these premium proportions will cost more, but its brilliance is well worth the added investment. Our Certified Gemologist-Appraisers will be happy to assist you in selecting the most brilliant radiant cut diamond available.
